My Story

a little bit about Naima

I’m a first-generation college student with a passion for technology and problem-solving. I learned the value of hard work early on—starting my first job at 14 while staying committed to academics. My journey into tech wasn’t linear: I explored customer service, film, theater, and even pharmacy before discovering my interest in computers and IT. That interest led me to study Computer Science at Northern Essex Community College, where I gained hands-on experience as a data processing assistant in the grant department. With the support of mentors who believed in my potential, I realized how meaningful and impactful a career in technology could be.

Now, as a software engineer at Resilient Coders, I’m building the technical skills to complement my strong communication and people skills. My background in customer service and performance taught me how to connect with others, adapt quickly, and embrace challenges. These experiences, combined with resilience shaped by my upbringing, drive me to create meaningful, human-centered software solutions and continue growing as a developer.
